Jmichael Ladarrell Jones, 46, of Lamar, MS, transitioned on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East, Memphis, TN 

Jmichael Ladarrell Jones, Sr., was born on January 2, 1978, to the late Robert Lee Jones, Sr. and Lillie B. Jones, in Memphis, TN.   On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, he transitioned at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, TN.

Jmichael accepted Christ at an early age and joined Roberts Chapel C.M.E. Church in Lamar, MS.  He was a 1996 graduate of HW Byers High School. He retired from Roy Blackwell Enterprise. Jmichael was the life of the party, an all-around guy, who enjoyed working on cars, vacationing, socializing and being around his family and friends. He was a family man, who loved to spoil his family; and was a fan of  the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jmichael leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife: Tomekia Hurt of Lamar, MS; one son: Jmichael Jones, Jr. of Olive Branch, MS; three daughters: Lilian Jones of Lamar, MS, Mykia Jones, and Anginae Jones both of Holly Springs, MS; bonus children: CiAnunna Driver of Oakland, TN, LyTaria Driver, Harmony Hurt, and Herbert Hurt III, all of Rossville, TN; five brothers: Robert Lee Jones, Jr. and Willie Louella) Jones  both of Lamar, MS, Cleo (Debra), Jones, Clyde Jones, and Jerry (LaTina) Jones,  all of Memphis, TN;  two sisters: Lillie Mae Echols of Victoria, MS, and Anna (Tyrone) Jones of Lamar, MS; five grandchildren: Jamir Jones, Royalty Hurt, Kayleigh Jones Carter Fields, and Taylor Fields; one aunt Arlene Gorman (Eddie) of Lamar, MS; mother and father in-law: Teresa and Frankie Driver; in-laws: Emma Jones and Diane Jones of Memphis, TN, Annie Jones of Byhalia, MS, Shanika  Hulbert (Toni) of Jackson, TN, Frankie C. Drive and Jareus, both of Rossville, TN, and a host of  nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Jmichael was preceded in death by his loving parents: Robert Lee Jones, Sr., and Lillie B. Jones; one son: Quarterrius Jones; and eight brothers: Leon Jones, Roger Jones, Evone Jones, Glendale Jones, Delmar Jones, George Jones, Charles Jones, and Walter Fitchpatrick.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024,  4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.,  at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 North Memphis Street , Holly Springs, MS 38635

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Hudsonville C.M.E. Church, 855 South Slayden Road, Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Burial will follow at Roberts Chapel C.M.E. Church Cemetery, 2680 Roberts Chapel Road, Lamar, MS 38642
