Mr. Eugene J. "Luke" Britteman, 71, of Holly Springs, MS, transitioned on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Collierville, TN
Eugene J. Britteman “Luke”, was born on January 3, 1953 to the loving late Robert Britteman, Sr. and Leola Waller Britteman, in Marshall County, MS.
At an early age, he found Christ and joined Concord M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor, Clyde Williams.
Eugene attended Sand Flat High School in Mt. Pleasant, MS. He later started to work for Rivertown Lawn Services in Memphis, TN. He loved fishing, softball, cutting grass, going to the casino, and being around his family. He was funny, very outspoken, and his favorite saying was “And You Know!”
Eugene leaves to cherish his memories: wife Loistine B. Britteman of Holly Springs, MS; two sons: Rodreco Britteman and Antonio Jenkins both of Middleton, TN; one daughter: Tyrenie Parks of Memphis, TN; one brother: Robert Britteman, Jr. (Chris) of Lamar, MS; two sisters: Marilyn Jones of Holly Springs, MS, and Ivy Campbell of Lamar, MS; fifteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; one uncle Charles Walls, Sr. (Bobbie) of Memphis, TN; Eugene also leaves a special love Estella Harris; four special people that he was surrounded by Janice Dortch, Matt Harris, Tavishea Harris, and Leon Shed; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Eugene was preceded in death by his loving parents: Robert Britteman, Sr. and Leola Waller Britteman; one daughter: Joyce Ann Turner; one brother Francis Britteman, and two sisters: Dorothy Mull and Mary Jean Jones.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635
Services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635
Burial will take place at Concord M.B. Church Cemetery, 755 Concord Rd., Lamar, MS 38642
