Orzolia "Carlene" Hobson-Isbell

Orzolia "Carlene Hobson" Isbell was born in Houlka, Mississippi on July 31, 1942 to the loving parents of the late Mr. Irvin Isbell and Ms. Pollie Hobson.
At an early age, she professed her faith and hope in Christ and united with Second Baptist Church, Houlka, Mississippi and later in life she united with East Baptist M. B. Church, Pontotoc, Mississippi, where she remained a faithful member until her health failed. Carlene enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, sewing, watching her favorite television shows and spending time with family.
Carlene was a graduate of Chickasaw County Schools in Houston, Mississippi. Once moving to Pontotoc, MS she was employed with Dr. John and Mrs. Maxine Patterson. She was a former employee of Pontotoc City School District and Sunshine Nursing Home as a certified nursing assistant and later she became the cook. Carlene was a member of Heroines of Jericho Court #145, Houlka, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Miss Ora Hobson and a special friend Mr. Albert Newton.
On April 28, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice in Tupelo, Mississippi after a lengthy illness, the Lord sweetly released her from this life and gave her a peaceful rest in His arms.
To lovingly remember and to cherish her memories: her loving son Glenn Isbell and daughter in-law, Sandra Isbell of Pontotoc, MS; one brother, Irvin Lee Isbell (Janice) of Huntsville, AL; two grandchildren, Talisha Isbell and Courtney Isbell, both of Pontotoc, MS; one aunt, Mattie Bean, of Pontotoc, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
